Did we ever find out why Hunter helped Kevin Owens?

I don't recall if we ever got a proper answer, did i forget or was it never addressed and 'waiting for the next PPV' turned into 'waiting for WM35' ?

No. But Hunter hasn't come back yet, either. Of course, it hasn't been brought up in ages, so it seems possible that they just forgot about it.
