Raw last night, built around appearances of Brock Lesnar, Bill Goldberg, Shane McMahon, and Daniel Bryan in preshow promotion, did 2.87 million viewers, a number that would be the second highest of this football season, trailing only Goldberg's debut.
It was up four percent from last week, although it didn't start out quite as high as the taped show from Glasgow, Scotland, but maintained its audience much better.
Raw went head-to-head with the New York Giants vs. Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. The game did 10.72 million viewers, down from the game the prior week which did 11.21 million.
Overall, Raw was ninth for the night on cable, trailing the NFL game and the SportsCenter that followed, as well as trailing all of the evening lineup on the Fox News Channel.
The SmackDown crew that appeared on the show wasn't announced ahead of time, and flew in from Spain, where they had worked the day before.
The three hours were:
8 p.m.. 2.96 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.93 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.74 million viewers
