EVOLVE also announced that Sunday's show in Queens, New York will be the last time that both the WWN and EVOLVE titles are defended on the same event for the foreseeable future. Those matches are Keith Lee challenging Matt Riddle and Zack Sabre Jr. defending against Jaka.

Not sure what to make of this. My best bet is that Gabe is tired of having to come up with excuses for why one title gets the main event spot over the other, or reasons to put one of the title matches on earlier in the show.

My other theory is that Gabe is really trying to make the WWN Title like an NWA World Heavyweight Title type of thing by having Riddle defend it all of the WWN or even all of the Flo-Slam promotions, or even possibly more.

So Riddle is not defending in EVOLVE for the next like 4 shows since Zack is already booked against Thatcher's return and Yehi for the July shows. It's a good way to elevate Style Battle and FIP, but it really does feel like Riddle should defend at EVOLVE

Which is what the goal was last weekend. The reason Riddle got pulled from PWG was that Gabe needed him working whichever one of those two promotions was on the same night as PWG to help get the title over as not just an EVOLVE thing (and it also probably made Riddle's life a bit easier to be able to stay in Florida for two days and then fly up to Pennsylvania for CHIKARA rather than cross-country flights, but at the same time he did accept the booking so it's kind of not cool. But at the same time, I assume that by this point PWG understands how the contracts work for LU, ROH, and WWN, so they always knew this was possible).

The other thing they do have in place to make this a bit less of an issue in EVOLVE right now is the on-going Dream Team vs. Riddle & Lee feud (with the options to easily transfer both Yehi and Zack in if they want) so there will always be something sensible for Riddle to do if Zack is the one defending on this show or vice-versa.
