What's next for the Shield?

Post by cero2k » Jun 2nd, '14, 12:02

what do you guys think? they just defeated (in a really credible way) the biggest threat in WWE, there's no more teams that would be a threat to them. where do they go now? individual feuds? Wyatts? some other team? Shield vs Evolution III?

I really feel as if they need to ditch the combat gear and get in some singles competition, but I suppose that's just me. I'm afraid of what will happen to Dean and Seth though, I feel as if Roman has a guaranteed main event career just thanks to his look.

Seth and Dean don't look to shabby themselves, they cut great promos. and WWE also seems to have shown faith in Seth's ability to carry a main event as a singles guy. They always have great matches, cut great promos, and have established enough of a personality for themselves that I don't think they will ever just "get lost in the shuffle" the way that some guys seem to (then again, I'd say the same thing about Del Rio, so who knows?) I also think that Hunter likes them enough to not let that happen. They'll feud with Reigns for a few months, then, if they stay together, probably win the tag titles and have a strong run before breaking up and being big singles stars.

Monday certainly made this a bit more interesting. At least we know Rollins won't be replaced with Mason Ryan.

But, yeah... what's next for Ambrose and Reigns? Do they introduce a new member? Do they stay as is and feud with Rollins and Orton? Does Ambrose jump ship too?

Remember, the previous plan for these guys was for Ambrose and Rollins to turn heel and continue working together, leaving Reigns as a super-babyface hoss and singles star. I'm thinking this is just the beginning of the path to that. Ambrose is too good of a heel to hang out on this side of the fence.

Anyone else having a hard time wrapping their head around this? The idea of one member of the Shield turning on the others is just so... WRONG. MAJOR props to WWE for this. I cannot wait for Rollins explanation.
