Douglas "Ox" Baker, who worked all over professional wrestling's territory system and made a number of memorable appearances in film, including "I Like To Hurt People" and "Escape from New York", passed away overnight in Hartford, CT. He was 80 years old.
Baker's passing was not unexpected as he has been dealing with a number of health issues in recent months and had been using a wheelchair to get around over the summer, where he was inducted into the Mid-Atlantic Legends' Hall of Heroes.
I'll have more on Baker's life and career later today. He was one heck of a character on and behind the camera, and a hell of a nice man. I'd like to express our deepest condolences to Baker's friends, family and fans.

Re: Douglas 'Ox' Baker Passes Away
Sad news. From what little I have seen and heard of him "one heck of a character" is the perfect description.

Re: Douglas 'Ox' Baker Passes Away
Apparently he was a big name in my hometown, in the "Wrestling at the Chase" days. I saw a Youshoot with him recently, not knowing who he was or what he looked like, and, even as a senior citizen he had that chilling Ox look. Prayers are with the family, losing people is rough, even when it's expected.
