Adam Pearce Retires, El Hijo Del Santo to Un-Retire

Adam Pearce, 36, announced at the 12/21 Championship Wrestling from Hollywood TV tapings that he would be retiring after an upcoming match with Colt Cabana. Pearce, who held the NWA title five times, had talked of retirement for years due to injuries. Pearce described his retirement to us as finishing up on the indies. He has been in WWE a few times as a guest trainer and was involved backstage at the NXT R Evolution show.

El Hijo del Santo, 51, announced this week that he would return to wrestle in 2015. Santo had announced his retirement in February after undergoing surgery on his spine. It had been expected he would come back and work some matches once his son is ready to debut as El Nieto del Santo but this was the first time he formally said it.
