BRM Reviews the 5/23/2015 ROH (awesome)

MICHAEL ELGIN vs. CAPRICE COLEMAN- 5.75/10
The crowd seemed to love it a lot more than me, so maybe they cut out a chunk of it for the commercial.

TRUTH MARTINI & JAY LETHAL PROMO- very good, but the whole time I wished they would just stop talking so we could see as much of the match as possible.

KYLE O’REILLY PROMO- same as above, except instead of being very good, the promo was lame.

ROH TV TITLE MATCH: Jay Lethal(c) (w/Truth Martini) vs. Kyle O’Reilly)- 8.25/10, and probably better without the commercial break. Between this match and the full ACH vs. Page match, Conquest Tour: Hopkins now has to be added to my “must see it soon” list.

POST-MATCH SEGMENT- FREAKIN’ PERFECT!
Lethal won’t give the fans five more minutes and goes to the back… so Jay Briscoe comes out and says he’ll show Lethal how a real champion acts. He notes that they are both banged up from their earlier matches, and thus are on an even playing field… so he offers Kyle a shot at the ROH World Title right here, right now!
But before they can start the match, Jay Lethal comes out and levels them both with the ROH TV Title! Not only does this build to Lethal vs. Briscoe, Title vs. Title, but it also establishes that Kyle can (probably) beat Jay but Jay hasn’t proven that he can beat Kyle, and sets Kyle up as someone who deserves a shot at the ROH World Title… which, I assume, will be in the hands of Jay Lethal after Best in the World 2015, thus setting Kyle up perfectly to be one of Jay’s first challengers.
