BRM Reviews the 6/10/2015 ROH (not so good)

Post by Big Red Machine » Jun 10th, '15, 19:16

ADDICTION PROMO- I laughed at Kaz mocking Elgin. Daniels was good.

ADDICTION IN-RING PROMO- "someone" attacked Bobby Fish and thus he can't compete tonight so reDRagon won't get their tag title shot tonight.

ROH WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Addiction(c) vs. "reDRagon" (but really it's just Kyle O'Reilly)- no rating. Awesome segment.
Kyle did a great job holding his own until Daniels hit him with the title belt for the blatant DQ.

MARK BRISCOE PROMO- not bad, but would have been so much better if he spoke like he did before the SBG purchase. Wait. Never mind. That last part just made this whole thing terrible. Too goofy.

JUSHIN "THUNDER" LIGER vs. DALTON CASTLE (w/his boys)- 6/10
The crowd loves Castle almost as much as Liger. I do not understand why.

LIGER & CHEESEBURGER BACKSTAGE- good for what it was.

"BRUTAL" BOB EVANS vs. CHEESEBURGER- no rating. Great segment. They had a fairly pedestrian match until, out of nowhere, we got a CRAZY finish. We've all become so numb to table umps over the years... but this one will snap you out of that!

JAY LETHAL AND TRUTH MARTINI PROMO- we're getting a contract signing next week. Ugh.

JAY BRISCOE PROMO- okay.

THE BULLET CLUB (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs. THE KINGDOM (Matt Taven & Michael Bennett) (w/Maria Kanellis)- 4.75/10
The Anderson/Maria stuff was a big mistake. They have done a great job of having the Kingdom be the babyfaces in Japan and heels in the US, and this hurt that a lot. The match itself was very short, which is not good for an ROH main event.

This was the weakest ROH TV show that I can remember seeing in a long time. ROH really got stuck with some bad shows to start off their run on Destination America. That being said, they did hype up the two top PPV matches and announce one or two others, so that was good.

One big positive for ROH that I forgot to mention was that this crowd made literally everyone come across like a huge star.

110% agree, I mean, he's cool and all, nice act, but I don't see what the people see in Liger anymore

We're on two different wavelengths here, and since you have knowingly corrupting my meaning, allow me to hoist you on your own petard:
