Hot Rod

Post by BOD » Aug 1st, '15, 12:07

Its been a tough time in recent weeks for wrestling fans but with the latest hits pretty hard for a heel fan like myself.

Roddy was one of the the best working heels in the business from his quick wit humor to his vicious delivery in the ring but it wasn't always an easy road, Piper was born Roderick Toombs he didn't have parents worth remembering left home young in and out of youth homes robbing for food barely getting by to the point where he was skin and bones until someone informed him of wrestling, his first match was against Larry the Ax Henning lasted 10 seconds. Later Roddy trained and became a decent worker in the ring but the best wa yet to come

Roddy went through all the territories then finally got the break he needed WWE came calling and brought him in as a vocal mouthpiece, we all know about pipers pit and his battles with mr t and Hulk Hogan we all know about his wrestlemania classics without the hot rod WWE probably wouldn't be around Roddy was an amazing heel that made every match personal.

However Piper's best accomplishment is that he finally got what he always wanted and thats a family. No tragedy in his love life he had children a loving wife and a grandchild. The boy without a family grew up to be a family man. His legacy is still here, without Roddy their wouldn't be a Stone Cold or a CM Punk or a Dean Ambrose not saying those men couldn't have been successful but the outlaw renegade character was honed by the Hot Rod. Rest In Peace Quote; I was Rowdy before Rowdy was cool.
