– There were a lot of banged up, tired and burnt out wrestlers after the 5 days of TNA tapings in Bethlehem, PA earlier this month. There was also the feeling that a lot of the wrestlers had ring rust and some of the wrestling wasn’t up to par. Going into the week, some of the wrestlers were really dreading the 5 straight days of tapings.

There’s been talk of changing TNA’s tapings schedule in mid-March and having more consistency.

– TNA reached out to at least two big free agent names for the Impact Wrestling on POP TV premiere but obviously things didn’t work out. TNA reportedly offered the un-named wrestlers a lot of money but they still turned the company down.

I've always thought WWE needed to cut that schedule back. Wrestling that many times a week is just crazy! They are concerned about concussions only BC of the NFLs campaign, but they don't believe that overworking their talent has anything to do with the injuries that currently plague the roster. How many people are injured right now?

That's a lot of injured stars, and they all are out for a decent amount of time. There are more than enough guys on the roster; stop overworking guys then leaving others with NOTHING to do!

Lol. I never thought about the TNA schedule in comparison to WWE's weekly schedule until you guys brought it up now, but you're right.
I won't say WWE needs to cut back because their TV schedule is pretty much exactly what is best for business (I think Thursday might draw better than Tuesday, and doing Smackdown live on Thursday would mean that your televised shows are the days the first day of the tour [when the wrestlers are the most refreshed] and Raw would be the last day of the tour [when the wrestlers are more likely to not feel as apprehensive about leaving it all in the ring because they don't have to go out and work the next night] rather than having two days of TV tapings in a row. It's more expensive to go live than taped, though, and plus if there is a guy only appearing on TV like a Paul Heyman and you want him on Smackdown as well as Raw, you only need to pay for two plane tickets under the current system but four under the system I'm proposing, so I'm sure WWE's way works out to be cheaper), but I think that they could take a lesson from New Japan and book more big tags in their house shows just to let guys who are either very banged up or getting up there in age like Cena, Orton, Kane, and Big Show save their bodies for the televised product.

In WWE's defence of this. As annoying as they can be sometimes... WWE does a lot of big 6,8,10+ Man tag matches which aren't too strenuous, they also use quite a few matches as segments that aren't so strenuous also. Plus, there are guys on TV doing promos and at ringside, who you think are wrestling all the time and they're not, it's a rotation cycle. Also a clever ploy by WWE. They're there, but not always having a 10 minute match.

In WWE's defence of this. As annoying as they can be sometimes... WWE does a lot of big 6,8,10+ Man tag matches which aren't too strenuous, they also use quite a few matches as segments that aren't so strenuous also. Plus, there are guys on TV doing promos and at ringside, who you think are wrestling all the time and they're not, it's a rotation cycle. Also a clever ploy by WWE. They're there, but not always having a 10 minute match.

It has seemed to me that they actually haven't been doing this. There are WAY too many times where they've had a guy like Cena or Owens or Rollins or Ambrose or Del Rio whose story would be moved along perfectly fine by simply appearing in a promo segment, but instead they always have that person wrestle on the show, too.

Now that I think about it, they do do what you are saying with the tag team and women's divisions, but they're done it the same exact way for so long so many times per show that it has become a negative in its own way.

Thank you. It's too much, esp since house shows get no buzz unless someone gets hurt. When was the last time there was a live event match that was so good folks raved about it? And how many times have you heard of someone being injured at a house show?
