Report: Reason why WWE is going forward with Charlotte vs. Brie Bella revealed

As noted, the plan going into last night’s WWE RAW was to do Brie Bella vs. Divas Champion Charlotte at the February 21st WWE Fastlane pay-per-view. Brie defeated Charlotte in a non-title match last night.

The feud between Brie and Charlotte is being done because there’s a feeling of some sympathy towards Nikki Bella, because of her neck surgery and current status, according to PWInsider, and because it makes for a good Total Divas tie-in. Brie vs. Charlotte is scheduled to be a short-term feud and likely will not carry into WrestleMania 32.

No word yet on who Charlotte will defend against at WrestleMania but it appears they are setting up Sasha Banks for that role.
