15 years ago; Konnan wins the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Title

Hey guys,

It's time to take you back to a moment from 15 years ago:

Carlos Ashenoff better known as Konnan wins the WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship

Konnan debut in WCW @ the Clash of the Champions on January 23, 1996 when he defended the AAA Mexican Heavyweight Championship against Psychosis

But it was 1 week prior to SuperBrawl VI on WCW Main Event on TBS in which Konnan def. The One Man Gang to win his major championship in WCW

The WCW United States Heavyweight Championship

Konnan would go on to hold both the AAA Mexican Heavyweight Championship and the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship @ the same time

He would go on to hold the U.S. Strap successfully in 1996 for almost the 1st 6 months of 1996

He would have successful title defenses against the likes of The One Man Gang, the late Eddie Guerrero, IWGP Legend Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Mexican Luchador El Gato

However, @ the July PPV Bash @ the Beach '96, K-Dogg would lose the U.S. Heavyweight Championship to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair

and now, 15 years later, Konnan is now in Wrestling in the Indies in Mexico
