BRM Reviews the 7/22/2011 Smackdown (Awesome)
OPENING SEGMENT- Pretty good… but why does Smackdown have so many referees? There are more referees than matches!
CHRISTIAN vs. EZEKIEL JACKSON- 6.25/10. Good match, but I disagree with Zeke losing cleanly (here, anyway). If Christian cheats, it makes Zeke look stronger and could set up a rematch at a future date for where Christian can win cleanly (or Zeke can win).
DRAGON-COLE SEGMENT- GREAT (aside from Dragon forgetting his history: Both RVD and Kennedy have announced when they were going to cash-in ahead of time).
DANIEL BRYAN vs. HEATH SLATER- 6.25/10
MARK HENRY PROMO- Great
SHEAMUS vs. WADE BARRETT- 6.5/10 Good booking, too, and overall, a great segment. I can really buy Sheamus as a babyface!
KANE PROMO- Good stuff… IF THEY CAPITALIZE ON IT PROPERLY! But I REALLY HATE the music playing during the promo.
STREET FIGHT: Randy Orton vs. Kane- 8/10. Awesome match, and I was pleasantly surprised by the clean finish. I didn’t like the handshake, though, as it didn’t seem to mesh with Kane’s promo.
MARK HENRY ATTACKS KANE- I liked Kane’s adrenaline-rush no-selling and Henry cutting it off by going to the knee. Kane is a good stepping stone for Henry until the Big Show returns.
Overall, this was one of the best episodes of televised wrestling I have seen in a long time, especially from a mainstream company. The only major flaw in it was the lack of AJ Lee. I DEMAND MORE AJ!
Stupid Announcer Quotes:
1. Cole talks up how Barrett and Sheamus’ degrees(in Marine Biology and Computer Technology, respectively)will help them in wrestling matches. Yeah. Right. Maybe if they were wrestling a whale or a robot (sh*t. I just broke my own rule about not giving Russo any ideas).

It was a pretty good SD! which is why I prefer SD! over RAW, IMO
and also, the 2 things that I liked the most were
Daniel Bryan putting Michael Cole in his place and Randy Orton vs. Kane in a Street Fight and I LOVE the Sportsmanship between Kane and Orton, but then, came Mark Henry attacking Kane which became BORING, IMO
But other than that, it was pretty good and I LOVE IT

Kane is not supposed to be a good sport, he's supposed to be a derange monster. specially after you cut a promo about why you're the "devil's favorite demon"womenwrestlerfan wrote: Daniel Bryan putting Michael Cole in his place and Randy Orton vs. Kane in a Street Fight and I LOVE the Sportsmanship between Kane and Orton, but then, came Mark Henry attacking Kane which became BORING, IMO

yea I was waiting for the chokeslam during the handshake,,hm maybe it will be put over as him losing the fight with dehumanizing himself,,cuz for kane to do what hes trying to do,,hes got to snap and just lose it and destroy someone ,so there has to be some losing and stuff like this beforehand, reason for it
When they come, they'll come at what you love.

When Kane returns from his "injury" they could use that handshake to make Kane's point. Have him come back and go absolutely ape on Mark Henry, and then use some promo time to explain that he wasn't a monster when he had that match with Randy Orton, and that Mark Henry's attack brought the monster back out.
We all know that the monster inside of Kane is based on him being angry at someone. When he debuted, he was angry at The Undertaker. So he beat the shit out of anyone and everyone. When he was angry at Shane, he electrocuted him. When he was angry at Triple H, he shot a fireball at him.
When he wasn't angry with anybody, he did Kane-a-roonies and cut funny promos.
Just saying.

Don't forget him doing Santino's trumpet earlier this year.....kiel297 wrote:When he wasn't angry with anybody, he did Kane-a-roonies and cut funny promos.

it wouldnt have called it a clean win, sure he didnt use a chair or or a low blow when the ref wasnt looking,,,but he threw him into the post..not cheating or illegal...but def regarded as being a heelish action,he won after taking advantage of the ringpostBig Red Machine wrote:OPENING SEGMENT- Pretty good… but why does Smackdown have so many referees? I know it was clean. My point is that I don't think that Christian should have won cleanly.KILLdozer wrote:it wouldnt have called it a clean win, sure he didnt use a chair or or a low blow when the ref wasnt looking,,,but he threw him into the post..not cheating or illegal...but def regarded as being a heelish action,he won after taking advantage of the ringpostBig Red Machine wrote:OPENING SEGMENT- Pretty good… but why does Smackdown have so many referees? It seemed like you were implying that using the ringpost is a sort of "low-order cheating" like a back rake, or a poke to the eye, or Corino's disappearing thumb trick.KILLdozer wrote:'Big Red Machine wrote:I know it was clean.
